Since I won’t have much to do after my A levels, I’ll be documenting the build of a 7 string guitar here as well as on the ultimate-guitar and sevenstring forums. I’ll start the build probably in december at the earliest if I can get the wood.
EDIT: Made some modifications to the plans.
Specifications:
- Body: RR shape alder body
- Neck: 3pc Neck through Maple 27inch scale
- Headstock: Custom reversed headstock.
- Hardware: Licensed Warmoth Floyd Rose Pro 7 string tremolo. Locking Nut(for extra tuning stability) and regular non-locking tuners. Also going to have a tremol-no installed.
- Electronics: Seymour Duncan Blackouts-Standard sized. Integrated wireless transmitter
So basically it will be a rhandy rhoads style 7 string baritone with great active pickups and a integrated wireless system. The wireless will be really cool for stage use.

I’m particularly looking forward to the neck heel. It will make for very comfy playing. The tremol-no unit also means I can change tunings when I want easily, but I still maintain the floyd for vibrato and some divebombs/squeeling.
